One of the unfortunate themes in group dynamics is that the positive intent of democratizing decisions and (god forbid) having a need for consensus is generally slower, worse decision making.
If you’re making decisions in a group, the priority should be swift, effective decision making. Encourage an idea meritocracy above all and that means agreement is neither required or going to be common.
