A Call to Not Give Your Money to Systems That Don’t Work

The therapist’s comment shocked me. Once I thought about it, it seemed incredibly logical and obvious, however. I was talking to a body worker-type therapist who was making a profound statement about normalizing treatments that don’t work. 

He’d ask: “How long have you been getting soft tissue work for your hip pain?” When they responded with “years,” he responded with the only obvious truth:

“It’s not working.”

Been getting a sports massage for knee pain for 36 months? Not working. Got a favorite chiropractor for your chronic 10-year low back pain journey? Also, not working. 

Now, what about fitness?

If you’ve ridden your bicycle 8,000 miles this year, but you aren’t fit… you guessed it. Not working. Barry’s Bootcamp Centurion Member, but haven’t developed legitimate physical capacity? It’s also not working. 

I firmly believe that if you are coachable and achieve the daily training stimulus at DEUCE Gym roughly twelve times per month, you’ll be a different person in no time. 

Because, it’s working.
