It’s a figure of speech at this point, but it still hits hard when I hear it: “It’s basically November.” The holiday season is basically a wash in the business world and much of the better things in life take more than three or four weeks to manifest. All that to say, 2022 is all but said and done.
The power of reflection is powerful.
While I’m not advocating for intense New Year’s Resolution culture, we definitely can learn a ton through reflection over the past year. For some it may feel like, “Wow! Now that I think about it, I got so much done!” For others, it may feel like, “Damn! A whole year went by? I don’t have much to show for it..”
In either case, nothing keeps winning coming and nothing turns around a losing streak more than good planning and a willingness to execute. It might be November, but it might help to put some big ideas on the board for 2023.
