As the calendar turned to June 1st, the DEUCE Pro Shop launched its newest limited-run apparel drop. The DEUCE Pride Tee is hand-dyed with support from Salt and Sorcery.
The bright pink downward triangle is now a symbol of gay power and pride, but it was born from a dark period in LGBTQ history.
In the 1930s, the Nazis forced people they labeled as gay to wear inverted pink triangles in concentration camps. It wasn’t until the 1970’s that activists reclaimed the brightly colored symbol that is now worn proudly in the LGBTQ Community and by their allies.
For the month of June, DEUCE will be donating 15% of all Pride shirt sales to The Out Foundation.
