The transition from neighborhood clean up to global movement was quick. For a short back story, our desire to leave no doubt about our commitment to the neighborhood resulted in the hyperbolically named monthly street clean up that we now know as ‘The Cleanest Street in Venice’.
Soon after a gym friend in Helsinki, Finland sent us photos of their clean up. Then, we decided to use the power of marketing to make a global push for trash clean ups around the world. We now have more than thirty cities where folks have declared that their street will be the cleanest in their city.
Tomorrow we add a new city: Compton, CA
Join us for good coffee, good people, and a good cause. Our non-profit, DEUCE Community Inc., will be meeting at Patria Coffee (108 Alameda Street Compton, CA) at 10:00am for a brief community clean up.
