Ludacris on Humility and Being a Student of Your Domain

Every now and then I’m hit with an idea for one of these articles based on something I see or hear moving about my day. You can imagine it’s a gift when the need for a daily blog is more persistent than the presence of creative ideas. Yesterday, I was stopped in my tracks listening to an interview with Grammy winning recording artist, Ludacris

In the conversation, Ludacris makes reference to a time in his career (mind you after he’s a card carrying Platinum record-level artist) when he learned important lessons about business that serve him to this day. He says he learned it all from books. The most important influence in his development? It was a book titled, All You Need to Know About the Music Business

Imagine the humility of the guy who brought us Throw Them Bows reading a “how to” book on the industry he was already on top of. If Ludacris is reading that book, I think we all have a lot to learn about our disciplines. Keep going!
