Winners Know How to Take a “Loss”

If you’re new to winning, you’d likely do anything you can to hold onto any and everything that resembles a “win”. That only makes sense, right? The good news is you’ve got your eye on a prize. But, the problem with this mentality is it might be the wrong prize.

A short-sided desire for wins can impede any chance of the real desire: long-term victory.

When you can’t see the bigger picture, you fight battles that only have short term upside and actively squash long term success. It’s counter intuitive, but the trust and discipline required to take a loss now will likely inform how many wins you can harvest in the future.

Can you take a hit today that might feel like a financial loss to build goodwill, equity, and relationships in order to build something bigger than today?
