We generally speak about self-awareness in a positive way. For good reason; a heightened consciousness for who we are – including what we say, what we do, and how we impact (or at least, perceive to impact) the world and those around us – offers considerable advantages to not having awareness.
Remember, though, it’s only in bridging the gap between articulating awareness and acting on it that anyone can ever unlock the opportunity to demonstrate its usefulness.
If you’ve ever said/heard, “I don’t do participation trophies,” and the thought of participating & failing has stopped you from taking action – listen up…
Participation doesn’t guarantee execution, but it is essential to arrive at execution. Moreover, participation isn’t a concession to achievement, it’s simply underripe achievement. The most valuable awareness is born out of action. So keep going! And go getcha some.
