Take out a piece of paper. At the top of the paper I want you to declare something you believe to be true. If you need help, I think it’s helpful to begin with a strategy you subscribe to by writing, “The best way to [blank] is to [blank].”
Down below write the words: “How might I be wrong about this?” Now, take a minute to reflect on this question and below you can brainstorm all of the ways that your belief may be false. Be courageous in this inquiry.
This process is a fail proof way for you to continue to evolve. Even if you come to learn that your belief is still true then you don’t have to change it yet. If you can understand that you believe in what you think is true because they are the best practices so far then you’ll set yourself for indefinite positive development.
Try it.
