Look, I get it. No one has their shit together. We’re all pretending to be adults. We want to seem as though we have things under control, but we don’t. My brief tenure into adulthood has only shown me that those who seem to have it figured out the most are just doing the best job fooling everyone.
When it comes to fitness, then, it’s only natural that we’d be missing the mark. After all, why would you have a double bodyweight back squat and a six minute mile if you can’t figure out your laundry situation or which side of the street your car is parked on?
If we’re going to be a mess, fine. If your fitness isn’t on point, I understand. Let’s agree, however, to separate the two. Not training because your life isn’t in order sound like not going to the beach because you don’t have a tan.
