Hopefully thus far in your training you’ve learned a thing or two about yourself. You’re beginning to understand your strengths and weaknesses. With that comes a clearer picture as to what your limitations are, albeit strength, flexibility, or even some mental barriers.
Chances are you’ve got at least one flexibility project to work on, if not more. These areas need your attention, and though we set aside time to mobilize and prepare the body for the days training, you’ll likely need to tackle the brunt of this issue outside the sixty minutes that we’re in class.
When you see students stretching before class, they are trying to chip away at their personal limitations. What you don’t see is all the homework they are doing at home and away from the gym, too.
If you don’t know what you could be doing on your own time to improve your ability to get fitter faster and stay pain free, ask a coach for help. Everyone should be working on some homework.
