What if the point was to enjoy it?

You’ve likely heard the term creature of habit before. But, what about creature of accomplishment

While both terms might suggest a positive connotation, today I’d like for you to consider – specific to creature of accomplishment – how assigning achievement as the primary motivator for establishing “worthiness” of something, (anything), might be (and is) problematic?

What if the point was to enjoy it?

As someone who’s been driven to execute far more than driven to enjoy for the majority of her life, I feel like I’ve unlocked a bit of a cheat code with this simple reframe. Of course, it’s not one or the other… You can have both.

But by all means, if the pursuit of extraordinary is robbing you from the ever-accessible joy in the ordinary, a nudge towards building your capacity to savor what lights you up – no trophy or explanation needed.
