Ready? Name the most iconic muscle in aesthetic fitness history!
The biceps are the single most iconic muscle group. But, do they deserve all the attention they get?
Unfortunately, the priority of this muscle group doesn’t support a ton of performance. Like the underappreciated supporting actor, the triceps hold almost no commercial clout yet they are responsible for the most utilitarian capacity of the upper body: pushing.
The triceps are Batman. The biceps are Robin.
The triceps’ main function is extension of the elbow joint, which is king for our favorite upper body lifts like the press, jerk, bench press, push up, and more! While the biceps get lots of mirror time, the triceps are most likely to win you more games, help you make more lifts, and perform better in your life.
