“There is a voice inside of you
That whispers all day long,
“I fell that this is right for me,
I know that this is wrong.
No teacher, preacher, parent, friend
Or wise man can decide
What’s right for you—just listen to
The voice that speaks inside. ”
I have mentioned Shel Silverstein before. His ability to capture the simple needs of adults, and the needed lessons for children is top notch. This is taken from his book “Falling Up.”
I am here to back this one up. Always trust your gut. Always trust that little voice inside. If there was one thing I could say I have done well a few times in this life, it is following what I new to be true. If it feels right, more often then not it is right for you. If it feels wrong, chances are it is that way.
People will try to convince you of all kinds of things, this way or that. They have their own feelings and voices and agendas. Before you go about making big decisions, important decisions, just give yourself some time and see what you feel about it. You may be surprised at your success.
