Fitness Progress by Osmosis?

There’s an analogy that my mentor used to use describing the power of being in a community that supports your goals. He used to say that trying to get fit on your own is much like being dropped in the middle of a lake. 

If you want to get somewhere, you’re going to have to swim. 

Joining a community like ours is much more like being dropped in a river. Just by being there you’re going to be moved by the current towards your goals. Now, if you start swimming, you’ll really be moving towards your goals. 

Sure, you can save money and build a garage gym. I just know that where we’re going is improbable alone.
